Yerang Park soprano

Yerang Park is known as a versatile soprano who seamlessly blends technical prowess with emotional depth. Born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1995, Yerang discovered her passion for opera music during her time at an art high school. She continued to enhance her skills at the Korea National University of Arts, graduating with distinction in 2018.

 

She garnered significant attention for her performances, including roles such as Micaella in "Carmen", Gretel in “Hänsel und Gretel,” and Contessa in “Le nozze di Figaro.” Additionally, she achieved remarkable success in various competitions in Korea, winning 16 awards in a short period.

 

After completing her undergraduate studies, Park made the decision to expand her horizons in Europe following her debut as Papagena in “Die Zauberflöte” with the Korean National Opera in the 2018/2019 season.

 

She enrolled in the prestigious Conservatoire de Versailles in 2020, participating in the highest-level professional musician program. During her time there, she excelled in European competitions, winning awards such as the 2nd prize at the Tebaldi Gigli Corelli International Competition in Pesaro, Italy in 2024, the 3rd prize at the Béziers International Competition in France in 2023, and the 1st prize, Special audience prize, and French aria special prize at the Vincenzo Bellini Belcanto International Competition in France in 2022.

 

Yerang’s artistry transcends borders, enchanting audiences with her sublime voice and profound interpretation. Currently, she anticipates her South American debut as Musetta in “La Bohème” at Teatro Solís Opera in Montevideo, Uruguay, in May 2024, and her role as Najade in “Ariadne auf Naxos” at Opera de Rouen in France in November 2024.

 

As she embarks on the next chapter of her career, Yerang remains dedicated to the pursuit of artistic excellence and the celebration of the human spirit through music.
