            Héctor Rodríguez started to study with Cuban tenor Ramón Chávez. In 2003, he entered at the Conservatorio Amadeo Roldán. He has participated in masterclasses with Jorge de León, Carlos Montané, Lucy Arner, Nancy Fabiola Herrera, Robert Desimone, Carlos Aranzay or Manfred Shiebel, among others. In 2017, he obtained the first Prize for tenor voice of the International Lyric Singing Contest of Peru, as well as the Panama Opera Foundation Award. In 2019, he was finalist on the Alfredo Kraus International Singing Contest and won the Second Prize of the Zarzuela Contest in Valleseco (Gran Canaria).

             He has sung in the most important theaters of Cuba and Panama, such as La Habana Great Theater, National Theater of Cuba, Heredia Theater of Santiago de Cuba, La Caridad of Santa Clara and Panamá National Theater, among others. In October 2018, he was invited by the Panama Philarmonic Orchestra to sing several concerts for the centenary of Leonard Bernstein. Despite his youth, he has sung the roles of Mario Cavaradossi (Tosca), Federico (L´arlesiana), Lensky (Evgeny Oneguin), Werther (Werther), Alfredo Germont (La Traviata), Luigi (Il Tabarro), Calaf (Turandot), Rodolfo (La Boheme) and Edgardo (Lucia di Lamermoor). This season will make his debut as Florestan (Fidelio) at La Habana Great Theater.
