Gabrielle Mouhlen soprano

       Born in Holland, she began her musical studies with the transverse flute and, later, voice with Montserrat Caballé and Cristina Deutekom.           

        In 2019, she debuted on the role of Desdemona in Verdi's Otello, at the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, conducted by Matteo Beltrami and directed by Roland Schwab, then at the Magdeburg Opernhaus.

        Among her key roles, she sings Leonora in Il Trovatore, Nedda in I Pagliacci, Elvira in Ernani, Lady Macbeth in Verdi's Macbeth, Abigaille in Nabucco, Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera, Odabella in Attila, Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana, Maddalena in Andrea Chénier, Sieglinde in Die Walküre, Tosca, Joan of Arc, Manon Lescaut, Aida and Norma.

         Gabrielle Mouhlen sang the Verdi's Requiem at the Concertgebouw van Amsterdam. In the USA, at the Central Florida Opera, she made her debut as Turandot, conducted by Beltrami. At the Teatro del Giglio di Lucca, she sang a recital for the "Puccini's day" event, conducted by Marco Balderi.

        In 2016, she sang again Turandot at the Macedonia Opera, directed by Giancarlo del Monaco. On the summer of 2018, she was invited to sing the role of Tosca at the Puccini Festival, in Torre del Lago.

        Gabrielle Mouhlen has also sung Turandot at the Teatro Verdi di Triste; Elisabetta in Verdi's Don Carlo, in Essen; and Abigaille at the Koblenz Opera House.

      In the 2018-2019' season, she sang Aida at the Aalto-Theater Essen and in a Gala Event at the Opéra de Nice. In the 2020-2021' season, also in Essen, she is singing Nedda in Pagliacci and Desdemona in Otello. Under the baton of Maestro Riccardo Muti, she will sing at Fondazione Prada di Milano, Teatro Galli di Rimini and Teatro Alighieri di  Ravenna.
