Zi-Zhao Guo tenor

        The Chinese tenor Zi-Zhao Guo is born in Luoyang, Henan. He graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Prof. Ge Yi, in 2014. In 2015, he became a student in the Conservatory “G.Verdi” of Milan, under the tutelage of Prof. Adelina Scarabelli.

             About his awards: 1st Prize “Uzzano e Giacomo Puccini” at the Concorso Lirico Internazionale “Voci In-Canto” 2017; Prize Best Sacred Music Execution at the Concorso Lirico Internazionale Santa Gianna Beretta Molla 2018; and Special Prize at the “Premio Spiros Argiris 2019” Interbarional Opera Singers Competition.

            In 2016-2017, he sung Rodolfo in La Bohème, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Conte d’Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, at the Nuovo Teatro Verdi di Montecatini.

            In 2018, he interpreted Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore, at the Theatre of Melfi.
           In 2019, he sang Otello in Rossini’s Otello ,at the Statna Opera, in Slovakia; Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, at the Teatro Francesco Stabile di Potenza; Mario in Carillon, at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona; and Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto, at the Teatro Romano di Benevento.
            In 2020, Guo sang Don José in Carmen, at the Teatro Massimo Bellini di Catania.
         Zi-Zhao Guo performed also the Britten’s Serenade at the Festival Anfiteatro di Levanto, conducted by Giorgio Mezzanotte and accompanied by I Cameristi del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; Orff’s Carmina Burana; Mozart’s Requiem; Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle; Gounod’s Messe Solennelle de Sainte-Cécile; and Dubois The Seven Last Words.

             In 2022, he came back to the Teatro Massimo Bellini di Catania, as Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana.
