           Born in Verona, Simone Piazzola made his debut in 2005 at the Giordano Theater in Foggia in U. Giordano’s Il Re, and subsequently, Rigoletto, conducted by Bruno Campanella at the Rome Opera Theater, an opera resumed on a tour in Japan, and then as Conte di Luna in Il Trovatore at the Teatro Nuovo in Spoleto.

           During the season 2019-2020, Piazzola sang Ezio in Attila at Opera Australia, Ernesto in Il pirata and Rodrigo in Don Carlo at the Teatro Real de Madrid, and the title role in Simon Boccanegra at Wiener Staatsoper. In 2018-2019, he performed as Giorgio Germont in La Traviata at the Covent Garden, the Royal Opera House Muscat, Arena di Verona, Bayerische Staatsoper, and Staatsoper Hamburg. He also sang Amonasro in Aida at Wiener Staatsoper and at Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Don Carlo in Ernani at Teatro alla Scala and Teatre Principal de Maó, Ford in Falstaff and Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro Real de Madrid, Ford in Falstaff at Berlin Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Alphonse in La Favorite at Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Seid in Il Corsaro at Fondazione Teatri di Piacenza, Renato in Un ballo in maschera at Bayerische Staatsoper, Graf Luna in Der Troubadour at Deutsche Oper Berlin, again Renato at Opéra National de Paris, Conte di Luna at Ópera de Oviedo, Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor and Marcello in La Bohème at Semperoper Dresden.

         Among his performances between 2014 and 2018, he sang: Cecil in Maria Stuarda, conducted by Richard Bonynge and directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi, at the Megaron Theater in Athens; Marcello in La Bohème at Theatro Municipal de Sao Paulo; Conte di Luna at Sferisterio Macerata Opera Festival and in Budapest; Marcello in Tel Aviv; Don Carlo di Vargas in La forza del Destino at Palau de les Art in Valencia; Enrico in Berlin; Duke of Nottingham in Roberto Devereux in Madrid, Bilbao and at the Bayerische Staatsoper. In 2017, he was Don Carlo di Vargas alongside Jonas Kaufmann, in Munich. In 2014, Simone Piazzola made his debut at the Teatro alla Scala as Conte di Luna, then he returned to Milan to perform Silvio in I Pagliacci (2015), Marcello (2016), Rodrigue in Don Carlos (2017), Don Carlo in Ernani and an extraordinary recital of chamber arias (2018). In 2012, Simone Piazzola took part in the Christmas Concert of the Senate of the Italian Republic, directed by Maestro Riccardo Muti.

          His upcoming engagements includes the roles of Amonasro and Giorgio Germont at the Arena di Verona, and Don Carlo in Ernani at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo.
