Regina Freire soprano

        Regina is a Portuguese soprano who is currently in her second year of Undergraduate studies with Susan Waters, at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her first musical studies were in piano and choral singing. Regina graduated from Porto Music Conservatory, with a distinction in Classical Singing. She has won several competitions in her country, including the Portugal National Competition of Singing in 2013 and 2014, Bomtempo's Competition in 2014 and the International Competition of Singing from Fundão in 2013 and 2015. In her career, Regina Freire has performed some operatic roles, such as Sevadilha in Teixeira da Silva's Guerras de Alecrim e Mangerona and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas. Regina has worked with renowned teachers as: Sarah Walker, Richard Jackson, Dinah Stabb, Adrian Thompson, Eugene Asti and Joan Patenaude-Yarnell.
