Marily Santoro soprano

            Marily Santoro studied with Liliana Marzano and graduated from the F. Cilea Conservatory, in Reggio Calabria. She is currently studying with the soprano Raina Kabaivanska at the Institute Vecchi Tonelli, in Modena. Winner of the First Prize of the 3th "Santa Gianna Beretta Molla International Competition" and 1st prize to “Concorso Lirico Cittá di Pienza”, in 2019. Second Prize at the 19th "Spiros Argiris" International Competition, City of Sarzana.

             In 2015, she debuted the role of Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata" at the Theater C. Goldoni, Livorno. In 2017, she debuted the title role in Norma at the Opera Sofia Ballet. In 2018, she was the protagonist of many important debuts, as Leonora in Verdi's Il Trovatore, with great acclaim from the public and critics, at the Theater G. Verdi of Trieste. Then in the role of Monica in the Menotti's The Medium at the Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti of Modena and subsequently at the Festival Dei Due Mondi di Spoleto, in July 2018. In November 2018, she interpreted again Norma, at the Theater F. Cilea of Reggio Calabria. In 2019, Santoro will hold a tour in China, in collaboration with the Puccini Festival Orchestra of Torre del Lago. In February 2019, she sung again Leonora in Il Trovatore at the Sofia Opera Ballet. In September 2019 she made her debut on the title role in Puccini's Madama Butterfly, in Japan for the Japan Opera Festival. In October 2019, the role of Countess in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, at the Theater of Livorno. In September 2020, she sung The Merry Widow at the Theather G. Verdi of Salerno, conducted by Daniel Oren.

            In 2021, Marily Santoro sang Leoncavallo's Requiem, conducted by Janon Acs, and Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, in February 2021, at theatres of Lucca and Pisa.

       She has collaborated with the following conductors: Andrea Battistoni, Daniel Oren, Janon Acs, Francesco Pasqualetti, Nicola Paskoswski, Grigor Palikarov and Nayden Todorov. On the stage, she worked with the directors: Renato Bonajuto, Filippo Tonon and Stefano Monti.
