Federica Foresta soprano

Federica Foresta was born in Palermo on July 30, 1996;

 

From 2008, at the age of 12, he began his lyrical singing studies with Maestro Elizabeth Smith, at the time a member of the board of directors of the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra (Teatro Politeama di Palermo).

 

From 2012 to 2015 he completed the pre-academic cycle of Canto Lirico, at the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory of State Music in Palermo.

 

Currently, in the same conservatory, he studied in the two-year period of opera singing under the guidance of soprano Patrizia Gentile and the master accompanist Gaetano Costa.

 

On 11 and 13 August 2021, Federica took part in the cast of the “Rigoletto” staged at the Teatro Antico di Taormina, for the summer season of the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, on the occasion of the “BellininFest” theatrical exhibition;The work was directed by M. Placido Domingo and the direction curated by M. Leo Nucci: Federica has played the role of the Countess of Ceprano.

On October 29, 2021, Federica wins the “first international lyric competition for young Belliniane lyric voices”, organized by the Massimo Bellini Theater in Catania.

This competition will allow you to receive writings for roles in the opera and concert season of the Theater, for the two-year period 2022\2023.

As part of the same initiative, on October 2, 2021, Federica will perform at the Bellini Theater in Catania as the winner: directed by M. Giuseppe Sabbatini, performs the aria "Here I am in a happy dress .. 'Oh how many times oh how many' taken from the work ''Capuleti e Montecchi'' by Vincenzo Bellini.'

From November 26 to December 3, 2021, Federica plays, in the first cast, the character “Berta” from “the Barber of Seville” by G.Rossini, at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania.

The work was directed by M. Salvatore Percacciolo and the direction curated by M. Vittorio Borrelli.

In March and May 2022, Federica took part in the show “Le allegre comari di Falstaff”, conceived by the company “Venti Lucenti” specialized in training and dissemination of theatrical culture.

The show took place at the prestigious stage of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; The music is that of Giuseppe Verdi, taken from the opera “Falstaff”, the direction was curated by Manu Lalli and Federica played the role of “Nannetta”, under the direction of M. Danilo Lombardini who conducted the orchestra of the Teatro Massimo.

The show, which has been quite successful, will be revived in the months of April, January and November 2023.

In June 2022, Federica was selected to take part, as an actual student, in the master-class of High Specialization in lyrical singing, led by the Masters Rosa Feola, soprano and Sergio Vitale, baritone.

The initiative was promoted by the Benevento Philharmonic Orchestra;

At the end of the training course, the 10 students had the opportunity to perform in a concert at the Roman Theater in Benevento, directed by M. Michele Spotti, and accompanied by the Benevento Philharmonic Orchestra.

For the occasion Federica interpreted the famous aria of Gilda “Dear Name”, by Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto.

 

In August 2022, Federica takes part in a concert sponsored by the Sicilian Regional Assembly and the Federico II Foundation;

 

The concert was held at the Giardini del Palazzo Reale dei Normanni, seat of the Sicilian Parliament and, for the occasion, Federica was accompanied by the Orchestra Mediterranea in the performance of the most famous music of the Cinema.

 

From August 19 to August 26, 2022, Federica takes part in the Masterclass of “Andrea Bocelli Foundation”, led by the Masters Serena Gamberoni and Davide Cavalli; For this occasion ABF made a final concert of the most famous opera arias, which took place at the Franco Corelli music academy located in Camerino.

 

In December 2022, at the invitation of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, Federica performs a Christmas greeting concert for the citizenship of Florence, at the historic “Palazzo Vecchio”, in the presence of Mayor Dario Nardella.

 

From February 25 to March 5, 2023, Federica took part in the famous Mozart opera, at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, “Le Nozze di Figaro”; interpreting, in the first cast, the character of Barbarina, under the musical direction of the M. Beatrice Venezi and directed by Michele Mirabella.

 

In July 2023, Federica takes part in the famous ''Trittico'' Puccini, staged at the ancient theater of Taormina and sponsored by the ''Taormina Arte'' Foundation; Federica has played the characters of: Amante in ''Tabarro'', Sister Genovieffa in ''Suor Angelica'' and Nella in ''Gianni Schicchi'', Beatrice Venezi and directed by Paul-Emile Fourny.

 

Federica is currently finishing her university studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Palermo.
