Àngel Òdena baritone

          Born in Tarragona, Spain, the dramatic baritone made his studies on the Conservatorio de Tarragona and the Accademia Lirica di Mantova, with Katia Ricciarelli and E. Giménez.

          His repertoire comport roles from the known  repertoire, but also Zarzuelas. In 2021, after the pandemic, he sung Conte di Luna in Il Trovatore and the title role in Nabucco, at the Ópera de Oviedo. Among his last engagements, he sung at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona, the roles: Amonasro and Giorgio Germont (2020), Tonio and Alfio (2019). In 2020, he also sung the title role on Falstaff (Teatro Massimo di Palermo) and Juan de Eguia in La Tabernera del Puerto (Teatro Calderon de Valladolid).

         In 2019, he interpretated Juan de Eguia (Palau de les Arts from Valencia, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia and Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla), Tío Santi in El Caserío (Teatro de la Zarzuela de Madrid), Vidal Hernando in Luisa Fernanda (Ópera de Oviedo), Ford in Falstaff (Teatro Real de Madrid) and Iago in Otello (Teatro de Córdoba and Pamplona).

       In 2018, he sung Scarpia in Tosca (Teatro Campoamor), Pedro Stakof in Katiuska (Teatro de la Zarzuela), Amonasro in Aida (Teatro Real de Madrid), the title role in Rigoletto (Teatro San Carlo di Napoli) and Juan de Eguia (Teatro de la Zarzuela).

            In 2017, he performed as Enrico in Lucia di Lamermoor (Opéra de Lausanne).

           Among his next engagements, Àngel will sing Tonio and Alfio at the Finish National Opera, in 2021.
